TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. General
All transactions between Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH and guests are subject to our general terms and conditions. The object of our business is the provision of snow sports instruction and guiding services. These services include teaching the skills and knowledge of skiing and snowboarding as well as escorting and guiding guests while skiing and snowboarding.
2. Booking and Payment Policy

Bookings can be made by email or phone, via our website, a booking agent or a hotel reception. Following your booking request, you will receive our offer by email.

To confirm your reservation full payment is required at the time of your booking.

Payments can be made by debit or credit card, bank transfer or in the resort of Lech at our office for last minute reservations.

Reservations will be confirmed upon the receipt of the payments. Note: Missing payments may result in the loss of your reservation.

By completing the payment you agree to our terms and conditions and confirm your reservation as quoted.

After the payment is completed the booking will be confirmed via email by Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH.

All reservations are subject to availability and are on a request basis at the time of booking until payment is successful and confirmed in writing by Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH.

The offers from Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH are subject to alteration.

Lift passes are not included in the course price.

You are responsible for bringing adequate equipment, clothing, ski passes etc.
3. General attendance conditions
You are required to inform Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH about your skills and experience in snow sports. Likewise, we ask you to inform Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH about your physical abilities, in particular your state of health or any illnesses where applicable prior to your 1st course day.
For childrens’ lessons please inform the instructor prior to the their 1st course day about relevant diseases, disabilities, allergies or special meals tailored to suit medical or other special needs of your child.
4. Liability
According to the legal directives Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH is exclusively liable for damages, which are directly related to the activities of Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH and which were caused deliberately or with gross negligence. Appropriate liability insurance exists.
5. Legal effectiveness
Should individual regulations of these terms and conditions become void this does not affect the effectiveness of the remaining regulations or the entire legal transaction. The invalid condition is replaced by such that the new condition represents the next from an economic standpoint. Austrian law is applied in all legal matters between the Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH and its guests.
6. Insurance
Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH and its instructors are covered by insurance. You are required to have your own health and travel insurance to cover the chosen activity (e.g. skiing, snowboarding, off-piste skiing or heliskiing).
We recommend to purchase your own accident and rescue insurance. Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH rejects any liability for any accidents that may occur during the course.
7. Cancellation Policy

All prepaid bookings are fully refundable up to 4 weeks before the 1st course day.

Cancellation fees:
- 50% from 4 weeks to 7 days before the 1st course day.
- 100% from 7 days to the 1st course day. -
Courses will take place in any weather condition.
Unless weather conditions guarantee that services can be carried out under safe conditions, Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH reserves the right to postpone or cancel the services.

Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH cannot be held responsible for any conditions beyond our control such as bad weather, bad snow conditions, slope or lift closures.

For your safety your Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH instructor/guide reserves the right to cancel off-piste courses (or change it to a piste course) if snow conditions, avalanche risk or weather conditions do not allow a safe conduction of the course.

In case of bad weather forecasts, late arrival or no show on your part, no refund will be given. From the time of course start our instructors will wait for you 30 minutes at the meetingpoint before declaring a no-show.

Any cancellations of short-term bookings - that is up to 3 days before to the 1st course day - are fully refundable when cancelled by phone or email at Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH Office until 4 PM before the course day. For all cancellations after 4PM, Skischule Tannberg Lech – Exclusive Mountain Guiding Arlberg GmbH will charge the full amount of the next course day. Verbal cancellations via your guide or instructor are not valid.

Note: If it is necessary for you to cancel due to illness or injury, we are happy to issue a letter of receipt for handling your insurance case.

Corona virus – Covid 19
For cancellations or restrictions on service provisions due to force majeure circumstances such as the COVID-19 epidemic, consumers are not bound to pay for the service, but they also do not have the right to claim compensation for additional costs or damages that may result from the situation.
A 100% refund is issued if the ski resort or country of departure is in lockdown or quarantine.
A 100% refund is issued if the person on the booking or household is infected with the Covid-19 virus at the time of the booking.
Please keep in mind that accepting a credit note or a voucher for cancelled courses due to Covid-19 is a solution that will not only safeguard your consumer rights, but also contribute to the survival of a small and local business such as our Ski school. Thank you.
